MONA ABURMISHAN has performed, emceed, and produced comedy shows, competitions and events in major clubs, theaters and universities around the world. In addition to comedy, Mona is a sought-after speaker in various socio-political topics in the United States and the Middle East. She was featured at Carnegie Hall as well as the Kennedy Center and featured in the first ever US Consulate sponsored Comedy Festival in the West Bank. Locally, Mona has been featured on Chicago’s #1 day-time talk show, Windy City Live! Mona maintains her love for Chicago by running 3 of her own standup comedy shows. “The Comedy Bowl" which is a comedy & trivia showcase, "Funny Friday's" at The Tamale Hut on the west side of Chicago as well as the first ever Arab American comedy showcase called "The South Side Comedy Show" in the heart of Chicago's South suburbs.
COLLEEN BRENNAN is a stand-up comedian, writer, producer, mother, wife and pediatric speech language pathologist (yes, Colleen is very tired). She graduated from the Conservatory Program at The Second City then later received training in stand-up comedy at The Second City and Feminine Comique. You may have seen her at Snubfest 2016 (*Winner - Audience Favorite), Lady Laughs Festival (Madison, WI), Zanies, the Laugh Factory and in her car driving her children all around Chicago.
KAT HERSKOVIC is busy performing stand up in clubs and theaters nation wide; and has also been recognized for the outstanding performance of her one woman variety show, “Neurotica” where her dry wit and clever content are balanced perfectly by wayward innocence and irresistibly loveable peculiarity!
Kat has been a featured performer in several comedy festivals including Cape Fear, Cinder Block, Laughing Devil, Highlarious, Chicago Women’s Comedy Festival and more.
EUNJI KIM is a comedian and writer based in Chicago and currently a Mercenary Writer for Cards Against Humanity. She was named a 2017 Bob Curry Fellow at Second City and was most recently featured in the 2017 Break Out Comedy Festival (Second City/NBC Universal). 'KIM KONG:A Comedy Monster', her solo show at the Annoyance Theater which was Reader Recommended. She co-hosts The Ajumma Podcast with fellow Chicago comedian/Korean, Peter Kim and can be seen around town performing improv at iO Chicago) and doing stand-up/solo sketch at Zanies, Paper Machete and Laugh Factory. Her other stage credits include, A Jangleheart Circus, The Chicago Women's Funny Festival, Chicago Sketchfest and the Detroit Improv Festival.
DENISE MEDINA is a cast member of Chicago’s hilarious all female comedy group ‘the kates,’ was born and raised in Chicago and now lives "La Vida Loca" in the burbs! She graduated cum laude with a BA in Speech and Performing Arts from NEIU, was an intern on the Wild Chicago TV show, and is a graduate of Players Workshop and Feminine Comique. She has performed at Zanies, Laugh Factory, The Annoyance Theater, Second City and in the Chicago Women's Funny Festival. She is excited to return to the Skokie Theater!
JANICE V. RODRIGUEZ (first name rhymes with Denise because she likes to be difficult), is a Chicago based entrepreneur and comedian. When she's not slaving over an unnecessary spreadsheet or micromanaging others, she performs her unique brand of stand up across the Midwest. She's studied at Second City, Audition Studio and is a graduate of the Feminine Comique standup comedy program. She's performed at the Laugh Factory, Zanies, Chicago Women's Funny Fest, LaughFest and SheDot in Toronto. Janice is also a co-producer of Las Locas Comedy, Chicago's only Latina focused monthly comedy showcase.
MARY ZEE is a stand-up comedian and writer based in Chicago. She has appeared in the Chicago Women's Funny Festival, the Milwaukee Comedy Festival, the Whiskey Bear Comedy Festival, the Accidental Comedy Festival, and the Cream City Comedy Festival. Mary debuted her comedic solo show Mary Zee Follows the Rules at the 2016 Chicago Women's Funny Festival. Mary created and hosted Menage-a-Hah, a sex-positive variety show. She also co-hosted The Opium Open Mic. She is a graduate of the improv program at IO Chicago, and is a former member of Salsation sketch comedy.
JAN SLAVIN (producer/host) is a singer, stand up comic and writer who has performed to sold out audiences all over Chicagoland. Jan has appeared at the Chicago Women’s Funny Fest and the Twin Cities Jewish Humor Fest plus Zanie’s, Laugh Factory, The Comedy Bowl, and many other great comedy venues. Jan is also a cabaret artist and has performed solo shows at Davenport’s in Chicago. Jan performs nationally in the hit show, Funny Old Broads, whose home base is the beautiful Skokie Theatre.
